Summit Between the AU and CT

President Dean Howard was at his desks signing some bills into law. They mostly dealt with new taxes and the new highway construction program. Soon one of his aides came in and told him the Chairman from the Amero Union would be landing at the Houston International airport soon. The President looked up and smiled. He already knew the secret service had secured it. He stood up and asked for the limo to be called. Once the car arrived he and his wife got in and headed for the airport.

The Chairman was sitting with his wife and two young children. The main advisor of the Administration thought it would not only help relate with the family values of Central Texas but it would also show that he trust the nation and the past was now the past. For years and years the people of these two nations fought over land, now both nations were making it clear that they want the anger between the two to stop, and for peace to start breaking through the tension.

Over the planes loud system the pilot said, " We are about 20 miles out of Huston, be prepared for our decent, over"

The Chairman went over the last few topics he wanted to discuss with the President of CT, and the plane slowly landed on the runway.

President Howard was waiting at the end of a long red carpet that was laid out towards the plane's stairway. This would be a historic moment in which this would be the first time the Leaders of the two nations have met over something other than war. Soon the chairman and his family exited the plan and started waving at the press. President Howard waited at the carpet's end while the Chairman was walking down the carpet. Once they met up he said.

"Hello Chairman and welcome to Central Texas!"

With a large smile on his face, Chairman Brander shook President Howard's hand firmly and said, " The pleasure is mine president!"

When the two men shook hands the press and spectators went wild, cheering back and fourth Peace for Amero! Peace for Central Texas! Peace for us All!

The Chairman quickly introduced his twin boys Zach and Slater ( age 9 ) and their older sister Cindy ( 19 )

The president shook hands with each of the Chairman's children. President Howard had children of his own but they were in college.

After the press took enough pictures. President Howard lead the Chairman and his family to the limo. He motioned for everyone to get instead first. Which they did. They were heading for the Presidential Estate. They arrived in twenty minutes. Once they got inside, Howard's two boxers came running. And they looked liked they wanted to play with the kids.



Howard then lead the Chairman to the Grand Office where they would discuss the topics at hand without the press in their face. They would then give a joint statement to the press about what took place in the meeting.

All three of the children were infatuated with the two dogs. They kept on asking to speak with their father but his chief of staff Linda kept them back and reminded them to behave. The Kids could not stand linda and that was one thing Mr. Brander knew about his children.

As The Chairman was shown his way into the grand room he was impressed by the beautiful details the room had. He was shown to a seat and sat down. He leaned over to the President and said in a joking matter, "How much for the pups? Haven't seen my kids hug anything in three years."

"I don't think I could ever sell Niki and Chronos they are he pride and joy of my boxer breeding. Though their pups are now 9 weeks. So I'll give you three of the five as a gift from me! But let's get on with business shall we?"Howard replied as he told an aide to get Luna, Marley and Linda.

The Chairman Pointed to his Chief of staff Linda and she turned to the press in the room. Thank you all, The Chairman will continue taking pictures and will take questions later on at the press conference. If you could all leave the room for the time being......



The Chairman waited to everyone left the room and the doors were closed. " I never talk business in front of the media, makes me lie all the time. Where do you want to start. I am sure both our Administrations are cheering to victory that they even got us to sit down and talk. In all honesty Howard, the past is the past to me. Wars happen and people die, but nations continue. I feel that we are both adults and kind find some beneficial ground with this meeting."

"The wars end in 1997. And that's where they ended and that's that. No point in continuing it. But ever since the treaty of mutual neutrality in 2000. Tourism between our two nations has grown. So I believe we could form a mutual border and free trade area. In which internal borders are gone. but external borders exist for the both of us. And in this free trade organization we would set a common minimum wage. That way work does not head towards one country instead of staying the same." Howard said.

" I feel that open boarders for trade is a great idea. I think we will both see major jumps in our economies from the process being far easier. Nation to nation could travailing though for private citizens I feel is more along the lines of higher class activity. These people throw money out the window, we could create a Visa for a yearly fee, that would allow those people who wish to travel back and forth the opportunity with out the crazy traffic. If we allow people to just fly back and forth we are going to rebuild the road system and had 8 more lanes on every highway"

"Currently it is a very long process to get between our two countries. So I wish to see it shorten. Maybe create terminals for citizens or residents of our countries. Where they only have to show their ID and then may proceed into mine or your country. This would only apply to citizens of CT and AU." Howard relied.

" I feel with Monorails we could keep a much stricter enforcement on boarder control and Visa control. The only way to cross over from nation to nation will on a train 60ft in the air. What do you think about that Idea.?"

"It would create a good number of jobs. SO how about this 2 monorail lines. One for AU and CT citizens only. And another for foreign visitors of each nation. The One who our citizens will only require ID to board."

" and the Visa, I can not budge on creating some source of revenue off of this large of a project. I know the stimulus and the jobs will be a great help two both our regions but I can not allow millions and millions of people to flood the the boarder because they want to ride the space trains!"

"Well we can at least make sure the visa is affordable for everyone. And that it isn't a mess to receive one."

A1200 a yea for a pass A1000 for family members after the initial first pass.

"I can agree to that. I believe that should be a clause in the Free Trade Agreement which will be outlined a treaty. Now do we wish for this agreement to be able to be expanded to other nations?"

At the moment I would Like to keep this between us at the moment. Many new Nations born this last decade. I don't know who I can trust

"Agreed I just wished for your opinion. Now are you ready for the charter meeting in New York in a few days? To outline the Nations of the World organization?"

It is going to be a little weird trying to get the world back on track and hugging again but I suppose it is time we all stop throwing billions in bombs at one another. I hope to see a good showing. How about you?"

"I feel the same way. Though I hope the organization isn't too big. But I hope it isn't so small where it can't do anything."

The two men finished their meeting and the doors opened to the media.

President Howard stood and smiled and waited for questions. He knew the media wanted some argument to have had happen. But unfortunately for them they were dead wrong. His Chief of Staff John Roberts told the media they may begin asking questions.
"This is for president Howard. We all know this is the first meeting of many to create what exactly?" asked a reporter.

"Well me and the Chairman here agreed upon a free trade agreement. And regulating visas between our two countries. And the creation of a monorail to allow for better travel. This will be outlined better later on after the Nations of the World charter is created and ratified." answered Howard.

A popular media analyst from Galatians was at the press conference. "Do you think everything will pan out civilly and diplomatically or will there be chance of the tension rising as with all the other wars?"

"The last of the wars ended a few years ago. And there they ended once and forever. And this time it went rather civilly and diplomatically. So I doubt there will be any tension coming from any end between CT and the AU. As the will of the people currently is quite support of each side." Howard responded. As his Chief of Staff told him the pups he sent for were in the garden. Howard smiled and whispered for the dogs to be handed over to the children.
